Wandelbots offers users three ways to generate paths that the robot will then move to - via cartesian control, TracePen, and soon CAD models.
With cartesian control, the 3D visualized robot moves along a 3-dimensional coordinate system. You are supported by the intuitive Wandelbots app, which shows you the directions in which the robot will move with arrows. In this way, you can quickly and easily define the start and end points of a path with millimeter precision.
The TracePen is a handheld device which traces your workpiece when you draw the welding seam alongside. The tip is shaped like a welding torch and arc on/off buttons facilitate the teaching process further.
Soon, CAD models can also be loaded into the Wandelbots app, which will then visualize your workpiece in 3D. All important points are automatically recognized by the app and you can determine where your weld seam should be set.
After you have recorded the path, you can further edit and optimize it in the app. For example, you can set up commands that turn your welding torch on and off, or adjust some welding parameters of your welding power source.
Using the intuitive user interface, different welds and weld parameters can be defined and tested with just a few clicks. Weld angles can be defined and easily transferred to other path points. Speeds can also be set up specifically and transferred to the respective workpiece.
